Equipment

  • Instant Pot 6-Quart Recommended
  • 1 Instant Pot Bottom Rack/Trivet
  • 1 Small sauce pan For glaze

Ingredients

  • 4 pound Spiral-sliced Ham. 4 lbs fits perfectly in a 6-qt Instant Pot. You can also use a regular pre-cooked unsliced ham if you prefer.
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¼ cup Unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp Dijon style mustard
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar You can substiture (or add): Maple Syrup or Honey)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)

Instructions

Prepare The Glaze

  • Heat the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium low heat until the butter has melted.
  • Whisk in the mustard and garlic until combined, then remove from heat.

Prepare the Instant Pot

  • Insert the rack/trivet into the inner pot of the Instant Pot.
  • Pour in 1 cup of water.
  • Place ham onto a rack in the Instant Pot, cut side down.
  • Brush the mustard glaze on the ham, covering the outside, and get as much as you can into the spiral slices of the ham. Use about â…” of the glaze mix.

Cooking

  • Close the lid on the Instant Pot and press the "manual" or "pressure cook" button and set the timer for 9 minutes. Note: If you are using an unsliced ham, add another 3 minutes for a total of 12 minutes of cooktime.
  • Once the 9 minutes have elapsed, allow the pressure to release naturally. (About 10 minutes)

Serving

  • Carefully open the Instant Pot lid and transfer the ham to a cutting board. Serve with any leftover glaze.
  • Use a meat thermometer to make sure that the ham reaches 140℉ (60℃)
  • Let the ham rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Optional: Caramelized Glaze

  • For an extra carmalized finish to the glasze, set your oven to broil.
  • When you remove the ham from the Instant Pot, place on a foil lined baking sheet.
  • Brush the ham with leftover glaze.
  • Place the ham under the broiler for 2-3 minutes or until the glaze is bubbly and carmalized.
