Tropical Kielbasa Bites
This is a perfect sweet and savory snack for Docktails. It's easy to prepare and a bit different, with a tropical flare!!
Equipment
- 1 large skillet
- 1 small mixing bowl
- toothpicks (cocktail sticks)
Ingredients
- 1 lb kielbasa (Hillshire Farms or similar)
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)
- 1 can chopped pineapple chunks (drained)
- chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Kielbasa
- Cut Kielbasa into ½" thick, round slices.
- Heat a large skilled over medium heat
- Add the sliced kielbasa and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it develops a light brown crust.
Step 2: Prepare the Sticky Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together the Honey, Dijon mustard, Soy sauce, Apple Cider vinegar, Garlic power & Red pepper flakes until well mixed.
Step 3: Coat & Simmer
- Pour the glaze over the browned kielbasa in the skillet and stir to coat every piece evenly.
- Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
- Transfer the glazed kielbasa bites to a serving platter.
Step 4: Glaze Pineapple Chunks
- Place drained pineapple chunks into skillet with the remaining glaze. Stir gently until chunks are fully coated and warmed through. Remove from heat.
Step 5: Assemble, Serve, & Enjoy!
- Using toothpicks, poke each chunk of pineapple and stick into a keilbasa slice.
- Spoon the remainig glaze from the pan over the assembeled kielbasa bites.

- Serve warm!
Notes
- Don’t overcook the sauce. Honey can burn quickly, so keep an eye on it.
- Look for smokes fully cooked kielbasa for the best texture and flavor.
- You can use cajan kielbasa for more spice or turkey kielbasa for a healthier option.
- If you want less sweetness, reduce the honey and add more Dijon mustard.
